Orlando Bloom Misspells Son Flynns Name in Morse Code Tattoo
Orlando Blooms latest tattoo didn't go exactly to plan.
If a person is choosing to get a script tattoo or a tattoo of text in code or a foreign language, the obligation is on them to make sure the spelling and the order of the text is correct and accurate.
But, when getting a tattoo in Morse code, it is probably best to check it twice as a mistake could easily be made.
Bloom showed off his latest tattoo on Instagram, displaying an arm tattoo that spelled out his son Flynn's name in Morse code. It also contained Flynn's date of birth, 1st June 2011, 9.03 a.m. Most of Blooms instagram followers gushed over the new tribute tattoo but some sharp eyed individuals spotted a small mistake, the Morse code design of Flynn's name was missing a dot. This is especially important in regards to Morse code as it totally changes the meaning.
“It’s a lovely idea and a beautiful tattoo. But if it is indeed morse code, I think it says “Frynn”, not “Flynn”. one person wrote.
“Swear the morse code spells ‘frynn’ instead of ‘flynn’ ” another posted.
Bloom's tattoo artist, Balazs Bercsenyi responded:
“And yes, a dot is missing, we know, it will be fixed,” he stated.
Bloom shares his son Flynn with his ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr. The couple were married in 2010 but divorced three years later.
